"I have received wonderful benefits from the chair yoga classes that Julie has taught for several years at the Bernardsville Library. A newcomer to the practice of yoga, I had no expectations other than learning something new and hopefully finding new ways to alleviate the aches and pains of daily living. It has been so much more! Julie's gentle, compassionate, and expert guidance taught me about the connections between my body and mind, and showed me simple movements and poses that could release tension, strengthen muscles, and improve overall mental and bodily functioning. Practicing yoga has at different times helped me fall asleep, stay awake, relieve pain, and find new renewed energy. Thank you, Julie! I look forward to continuing to practice and learn with you."

"For the many years I have been a yoga student of Julie's, I have gained a knowledge of individual poses as well as an understanding of the proper mechanics behind them. I also have learned many breathing and meditation techniques. Julie has a marvelous way of weaving all of these concepts into a practice that's instructive and challenging, soothing and restorative - a perfect balance! I have been the fortunate recipient of Julie's ever-increasing knowledge and love of the many aspects of yoga and its teaching, all of which have made me a more resilient person with many tools to call upon to combat the stressors life throws my way."~JS
"Julie has been a yoga teacher and mentor to me for several years, and is always a joy to work with! She creates a safe space for you to gently challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone, while maintaining an environment of loving kindness, compassion, and healing. Julie is always professional and passionate in her work, is an expert in the field of yoga and yoga therapy, and continues to study and learn, allowing her to consistently provide more value and deeper perspectives to her students. It's inspiring to study and work with someone who truly walks the path of yoga. I highly recommend Julie as a yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and mentor for teachers! She is an enormous gift!"

“I was suffering from multiple herniated and slipped discs, and could not perform simple, daily movements. I was introduced to Julie during Covid 19, and we met “virtually.” She designed specific yoga exercises, with escalating movements. Over 3 months, I have been able to strengthen my core and resume most normal movements and lifestyle – even playing golf! Julie's dedication and individual personal attention was very much appreciated and I completely recommend her to anyone!”

"My doctor referred me to Winding Path Yoga. In my opinion, he gets the award for the "Greatest Referral of All Time!" Julie has been nothing less than amazing! Her "mat-side" manners and instruction are a great motivation. Having suffered a severe back injury while serving in The National Guard, some years ago, I've learned to live with a certain level of pain, restriction, and discomfort. Over the years, I've tried physical and occupational therapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, etc. They all helped me maintain a functioning lifestyle. (continued next column)
Since working with Julie, however, my experience has been incredible. She sets a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. My balance and flexibility have improved. My back pain over the last 25 years has been 6 out of 10 on the pain scale. Now it is steady @ 3! Wow!!! And who would have thought that it all starts with controlling your breathing, and of course, having an Awesome Coach... Thanx Julie!

I am 75 and have worked with Julie one-on-one for several years. I cope with two autoimmune diseases, and have had back problems for years. I selected a Viniyoga therapist because during my research I read that they are trained extensively to deal with clients who have medical/physical issues.
Julie far exceeded my expectations. She is highly professional, did a thorough intake of my medical history and then designed an appropriate program, which has evolved naturally with each lesson as she listens carefully to the challenges that arise during my home practice.
Since working with Julie, my posture, balance, and back issues have greatly improved, and my overall confidence in moving and performing everyday tasks has risen.
Julie is a very knowledgeable, skilled, careful, flexible, and encouraging instructor. Her main focus is always what the client needs. She delights in my progress, but never pushes me beyond what she ascertains is safe and appropriate for my age and condition. We are now working on various forms of yoga breathing for calming and relaxation.
I highly recommend Julie to anyone, whatever her/his age or physical condition! ~DK
I have studied yoga with Julie for ten years now, and cannot possibly describe the positive benefits that have resulted from having such a special teacher. Julie’s depth of knowledge, her keen intelligence and intuitive sensibility all combine to make her yoga classes, or yoga therapy sessions meaningful and personal. She is warm and welcoming, making the unbelievable wealth of information she shares a true gateway to a state of well-being that is accessible to anyone. A life-long learner, whether focusing on technical aspects of asana, benefits of breath work, or qualities of mind, such as gratitude or contentment, Julie always has a new perspective or interesting comment to spark engagement in her students. She offers her students a broad array of techniques and tools, creating a unique and effective learning experience. My many classes, sessions and workshops with her have led to resolution of physical ailments, especially a sacroiliac issue that had plagued me for 20 years, a vastly improved sense of overall well-being, and in general a happier, more peaceful life. ~LA
